The Condition Inspection
We have developed this useful document aimed at helping the boat owner (seller) and the yacht broker and at the same time creating an extremely useful decision making tool for the buyer. The days of incorrect Internet listings and misrepresented yachts are over! It’s an easy concept and all parties will benefit.
The Owner / Seller
Selling your boat? Our surveyors will inspect your yacht. This will include checking and operating all the yacht’s equipment, where possible, including going up the mast if it is a sailing boat. An accurate report will be created detailing all equipment and comments about the condition of all aspects of the vessel. High definition, color digital photos will be imbedded in the report. A second PDF document will include numerous large-scale photos of the yacht. How does it benefit the yacht owner? Any important issues, which might come up during the inspection, can be repaired and if required we would re-inspect the repairs and update the report. The Condition Inspection can then be used as an important marketing tool for the boat. If the owner needs an Insurance Survey or a full Condition Survey later, the fee for this service would be at a largely reduced fee.
The cost? – a very reasonable fee, which is 50% of our Condition Survey rate.
The Broker
The end to your problems obtaining accurate information about a boat you want to list. Use it as your listing or an attachment. Your buyer will be well informed. There will be enough detail that the only unknown issues might be limited to a sea trail and / or the out of water inspection. We can keep the information updated.
The Buyer
The Condition Inspection will give you an excellent idea of the condition of the yacht, which you have found on the Internet. If you plan to spend money on costly travel to survey the boat, there is less chance of disappointment when you arrive. Call us to discuss the report and our findings. You are free to employ the services of an independent surveyor to proceed with your purchase. |
